Moti Mahal Restaurant Indore

Visited Moti Mahal with high expectations, but sadly the overall experience was quite disappointing. We started with Chilly Chicken, but the chicken didn’t feel fresh at all. The pieces were chewy, and the overall taste was just average nothing close to what you’d expect from a restaurant of this repute. Next, we tried the Rara Chicken. Unfortunately, the taste of turmeric was too overwhelming, which completely overshadowed the other spices. The masala blend didn’t feel balanced, making the dish far from enjoyable. Finally, we ordered their signature Butter Chicken, expecting at least this classic to live up to the legacy of Moti Mahal. But even after raising a complaint and getting it served again, the taste was still not up to the mark. It lacked the richness, depth, and flavor that a true butter chicken should have. On the positive side, the staff was extremely polite and the service was very warm. They treated us well throughout, but unfortunately, the taste of the food just didn’t match the reputation the restaurant carries.

Nice Ambience. Quick Service Food Taste - Disappointing I had heard of a lot of Moti Mahal Restaurant's signature dish which is Butter Chicken (Delhi Branch).. With a lot of excitement as I was feeling lucky to have located the restaurant in Indore I had ordered Butter Chicken at Moti Mahal but I am very sorry to say that I was very disappointed with the taste of dish .. To my surprise Chicken was boiled and not Tandoor as usually it is, there was no flavor of Tandoori hence I am forced to give 1 rating for the famous dish Butter Chicken. The gravy taste was missing, very bland.. I hope taste improves. I informed the Server but he tried to convince me that chicken was tandoori , I even showed the chicken piece which was white and no marination around it but no luck. There were hardly 1 - 2 tables occupied I won't recommend restaurants.

To be honest the Rara Chicken was good. But the garlic naan and garlic tandoori roti were not good, the garlic naan was burnt.

Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at Moti Mahal, and it was an unforgettable experience! The ambiance was warm and inviting, with elegant decor that set the tone for a special evening. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure our glasses were always full and our plates were never empty. But the real star of the show was the food - oh, the food! I ordered the signature butter chicken, and it was love at first bite. The tender, juicy chicken was smothered in a rich, creamy tomato sauce that was both flavorful and aromatic. The basmati rice was fluffy and perfectly cooked, and the naan bread was crispy and fresh. Overall, my experience at Moti Mahal was exceptional. If you're a fan of Indian cuisine, or just looking to try something new, this restaurant is a must-visit. Five stars and a big thumbs up from me - can't wait to go back!"

Visited Moti Mahal Deluxe – Tandoori Trail at Vijay Nagar, Indore last Sunday. Food: Butter Chicken – Wow! Truly different and super tasty. Definitely the star of the meal. Garlic Tandoori Roti – Soft, flavorful, and perfect to scoop up all that curry goodness. Tandoori Chicken – Sadly, burnt and way too small for the price. Not worth the hype. Quantity & Value: Food is flavorful, but portions could be more generous. Paying for taste is fine, but a little extra quantity would make it feel more satisfying. Ambience: Ambience is okay-ish. Ventilation is poor, so the kitchen smoke lingers, and the ACs don’t really help much. Overall, it’s not very cosy or comfortable for a relaxed meal. Service: Service could be improved—needs to be faster and more attentive. Verdict: Come for the butter chicken—it’s a must-try. Other dishes, the service, portion size, meat quality and the dining experience could use some improvement, but the flavors make it worth checking out at least once. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐/5
